How to Wear Your Romper into Fall

September 20, 2017

Fixin to Thrill | Elizabeth & James Romper

Come Summertime in Texas and you’re too hot to move much less put together well coordinated outfits in a pinch. Cue the romper, this little one-and-done number is and has been a go to of mine for a while now. I have too many to count at this point. This year there are tons of styles and lots of fun prints but today I’m talking classics, the romper you’ll have for years to come.

The little black romper.

Each of the babies below can be easily dressed up for a night of breaking necks or dressed down for day of getting shit done. Investing a little more in a piece like this is a great idea. Make sure you get one with a great fabric, some rich detailing and always make sure it’s the most flattering style for your body type. I know what you’re thinking, “Sylvia, it’s Fall-I don’t need a freaking romper!” but you’re wrong, you will always need a romper my friend! It’s a timeless item (if chosen correctly) and is easily transitioned into cooler weather with simple layering. Today I paired it with a snug fitted tee but come cooler temps and it will also look great layered over a thin, turtleneck too. Maybe even in a nice monochromatic fashion, black on black.

Check out my five favorites below:

  1. Greylin
  2. Aqua
  3. Club Monaco
  4. Shopbop
  5. Privacy Please
