I finally got a pair of rain boots you guys! Yes, I’ve had rain boots in the past but never like these Chooka ones, these I actually want to wear. They aren’t huge, clunky and covered with a busy print or loud color. They’re sleek, chic, modern and they’re so comfortable! Did I mention they also come in a slate grey color? The only other pair of rain boots I remember owning came up to right under my knee cap and were white with a pastel print that I can’t quite recall-I just know it had bright blues, pinks and pale purple. Needless to say, they were rarely used and eventually I gave them away because if I’m not wearing something I don’t keep it. These however, I’ve already worn three times in the last month that I’ve had them-basically each chance of rain I got in Texas. With every picture I’ve shared to Instagram I’ve gotten 3-5 messages (at least) about these boots so today I thought I’d share all of the details you guys have been dying to know!
First things first, “Where can I get those boots?” – so many of you guys asked me this very important question. They are Chooka footwear and run true to size! I’m always a size 8 shoe and these fleece lined boots are a little roomy but not so big that I would size down especially when a nice thick, cozy sock can make up the difference. They don’t offer half sizes so if you fall in that category go ahead and size up! My favorite thing about these boots besides the color is the weight-it doesn’t feel like your typical heavy rain boot, you can still move around quite gracefully and they aren’t all squeaky like some boots. The Bainbridge Chelsea boot hits right at the ankle just like your favorite booties and I swear halfway through the day that’s exactly what you’ll think you have on instead of rain boots. Now that Chooka has ignited this love of rain boots in me I’m looking at their Ballard Buffalo Duck Boot, and a classic City Solid Tall Rainboot as well.
Some of the items in this post were gifted to me, but all opinions are my own.
