This winter I really went crazy in the knit sweater department, more so than any other winter to date. I couldn’t get enough and I think it was probably because I began with almost none at the start of fall. For years, I mean years I’ve been that girl who is more than likely going to be wearing a cardigan when you see her. Friends, you can all vouch for this one. It started because I’m always cold but quickly became a “Sylvia Staple”. I wore cardis with everything, dressed up, dressed down, in the summer and obviously all winter long. Well after all of this time I think I’ve finally started to make my transition out of cardigans and my years of double stick taping them to stay right where I want them. Gone are the days that I accidentally wash an undershirt before peeling off the remnants of last nights double stick tape only to find my tank never again as it was. Good riddance! I say good riddance! As I started my cold weather shopping I immediately noticed how drawn I was to knits and sweatshirts all of a sudden. I seriously only bought one cardigan…I bought more kimonos than cardigans this winter, but I bought more knits than anything and this one I’m wearing here is definitely top 3 from this season for me. I typically buy solid or plainly patterned clothing just out of personal preference so more often than not I try to find items with a little something that catches the eye. This sweater for example has these great zippers on each side that you can unzip to about your waist as well as a nice elasticity to it that makes it feel very modern. It’s the perfect everyday sweater that could easily transition into night.
