6 Pieces to Borrow from the Boys

It’s finally getting cold in Texas which means raiding your boyfriends chunky knits, am I right?

This is the only time of the year that you actually want to wear large, oversized clothing, the bigger the better. I don’t dress from my love’s side of the closet too often but come winter I get a lot of “I think I have one like that too” and “Oh that’s mine?” comments just dripping in sarcasm. Today I wanted to share my favorite items to borrow from the boys, raid your man’s closet before you head to the mall for these 6 totally sharable items.

• Chunky Knits clearly(given this outfit) I love to wear my guys chunky knits. Rather than have to scour the web and shops to find the perfect oversized fit in the ladies section simply grab a medium in mens for the perfect loose fit. Layer it over a classic button down and skinny jeans to keep it looking polished as I did above.
• Cardigans  oversized cardis are all the rage and its so easy to grab one of the guys cardigans to layer over just about anything
• Plaid & Flannel Button Downs This goes hand in hand with the chunky knits, sometimes you just want an oversized fit. Layer it under a puffer vest and over skinny jeans or even leggings for a casual cute look.
• Watches Sometimes tricky depending on the band but if you can get his watch to stay on your wrist its a nice change up every once in a while to accessorize with a true ‘big faced’ watch, not to mention it makes your wrist look oh-so-tiny.
• Scarves and Beanies  because who can really tell anyway right? I never think to buy beanies at least not the classic shaped ones, my boyfriend however does so come winter I’m all set.
