Topshop being in Nordstrom has been such a game changer for me. I still remember when I first stumbled upon Topshop, I was the first of all of my friends to find out about it and being from Texas this was kind of a big deal, I mean nobody shopped brands or boutiques based out of England. Back then they didn’t even convert to US dollars so you had to pull up an additional tab to do pounds to dollar conversions. Needless to say, I was more than a little elated that I was going to be able to shop one of my favorite online boutiques in one of my all time loves, Nordstrom. I now make weekly stops and keep my shopping cart updated with the latest items, like these:
This tunic caught my eye because of the pattern as well as the simple charcoal and off white coloring, I’ve been quite partial to all things grey as of lately. From the fact that it’s a completely on trend color for this season all the way to it being perfect for pairing with nearly every color, there are a million reasons to stock up on grey. I loved the weight of this tunic, as a matter of fact, besides the shape being very tunic-like this top screams sweater. The sleeves did run a little short, which is a problem I’m all too familiar with thanks to my ‘go-go-gadget arms’ but a simple roll up solved the problem and gave the sweater a laid back vibe.
I’m excited to mix unexpected pastels into outfits, especially with grey this season. It almost feels spring-like by giving the same kind of contrast as the grey skies do to flowers. I bought this lilac purse years ago from TJ Maxx and have gotten so much wear out of it over the years. It’s been the perfect addition of color to mostly black and white outfits.
Here are some other pastel pieces that would be fun to mix in:
