This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of CORT. All opinions are 100% mine.
If you’ve been keeping up with me lately then you know that I’m on a declutter, reorganizing and redecorating spree. Everything from my wardrobe to my home decor. I talked to you guys about finding CORT in my previous post and wanted to keep you all updated on the whole process. CORT offers options when it comes to shopping. You can handle the entire thing online, you can go in to a showroom (in cities that have one) or you can do a combination of both-which is the route I decided to take. Like I mentioned in my previous post; I once bought a pair of leather chairs-site unseen-or well, I think I can say that? I had seen pictures of them, just never had the opportunity to sit on them and truly test them out. That’s sight unseen, right? Regardless, you get it! When the chairs were delivered they were exactly how they looked online, I was happy about that, but geez were they uncomfortable. So stiff, and ugh just the worst. I vowed then that I would never order something that I had to sit or sleep on without testing it out again! So after browsing the website and creating a wishlist of my favorite items I decided to take a drive to my nearest showroom to give everything a once over and sit-test a few options I’m considering.
By far, my favorite part of visiting the showroom had to be getting the in person feel of the items. CORT does a really great job of setting up little sectioned off areas that make it feel like you’re walking through a maze of little rooms, all perfectly decorated. I wanted to sit on and touch everything in order to really try to picture it in my home with my lifestyle. It’s what I went for and exactly what I got. Some things I thought would be automatic no-brainers, I ended up not liking as they didn’t fit the aesthetic I was going for after all. Then, other things I had thought I’d maybe like I ended up actually LOVING…maybe a little too much. Plus, I got to sit-test. The couches pictured below were on my wishlist after browsing the online inventory, so I was excited to see them in the showroom and thankful for the chance to sit and even lay on them. Read on for my tips on purchasing living room seating.
Trust me when I tell you, finding seating that you actually want to sit on is so important! I left the CORT showroom with a new dilemma-too many options. Tough life, I know, but trust me when I say that it’s a real dilemma. I hope these tips help you along your journey to finding the perfect living room seating. If you’re looking for something more short term check out the CORT blog online for inspiration and to see if there’s a showroom near you!
PS Which couch pictured above do you like the most?
